Shoes: Comfort soles for the soul!

Hi guys,
When it comes to weddings, parties, and anything that involves drinking cocktails, I am definitely a heel girl. But when it comes to everyday summer days I prefer foot comfort! Summer to me means picnics in the park, strolls along the beach, and walking everywhere: why drive when you can feel the sun on your shoulders?

With that in mind I want sandals that look good but are so comfortable that I'm not thinking about my feet whilst I'm enjoying the rare British summer. Enter my latest picks from Sarenza: these comfort sole 'soft sole' Clarks sandals with their stud detailing. photo clarkssarenza1_zps5f46d4e4.jpg photo clarkssarenza2_zps43ef33e0.jpgI always associate comfort sole shoes with old ladies on buses wearing pleated skirts and pulling shopping trolleys. But these aren't those shoes.

Yes, they're so comfortable you can walk in them forever without any rubbing or blisters. But they also look great: the on trend stud detailing is perfect with the black leather and metallic gold combo. And because of my obsession with gold jewellery they go with everything in my wardrobe, making them the perfect shoes!

Have you bought your new summer sandals yet? And have you gone for style, comfort, or a little bit of both?

My picks of the best party shoes from Clarks

Hi guys,
Yesterday I went out and picked out my new party dress for the season from Matalan (outfit post to follow): much later than usual for me to be choosing my festive frock, but it was hard to try one on when I was sporting the mahusive bump! Dress chosen, now I need to find the perfect shoes. And I've been looking at the women's party shoes from Clarks.

It's been a couple of months since I properly wore heels, so I want to break myself back in gently and guarantee that the party heels I choose are going to be comfortable to walk and maybe even dance (if the mood takes me!) in. And that's a guarantee that comes with pretty-much every pair of shoes from Clarks, in my experience. In fact, my Clarks heeled brogues were the only pair of heels I wore at the end of my pregnancy whenever a fancy occasion called for them. So I headed straight over to the Clarks website to check out their more glitzy seasonal options. Here are my picks:
Photobucket
Nude court shoes with jewel details, £49.99
Snake skin court shoes, £54.99
Animal print shoes, £69.99
Vintage inspired sandals, £84.99
Gold leather court shoes, £89.99
Black leather and snake skin sandals, £69.99

They're all gorgeous shoes, but of course I have a favourite. I really love the black vintage-style sandals with their unusual shaped heel and bling detailing across the toes: they'd go with just about everything, they're versatile but eye catching at the same time. Definitely top of my list of options!

Have you picked out your party frock yet? And are you buying new shoes to go with it? I'd love to hear all about your Christmas outfit: let's share inspiration!

The shoes every girl needs part one: Black heels

Hi guys,
I'm sure it can't have escaped your attention that I am a shoe obsessive! I have more pairs than any one person needs, and yet whenever I walk into a shop I immediately check out the shoe department before I look at anything else! But I also know that my shoe collection is, in some parts, seriously lacking depth. I don't own waterproof wellie boots or sensible black pumps for example. But I do own three pairs of sequin covered heels. Where is the logic in that?!

So I thought it would be fun to do a rundown of the shoes every girl really should have in her wardrobe: I believe that with just 6 carefully selected pairs of shoes, you can have a shoe for every possible occasion. First up, it's a pair of gorgeous black heels:

I now own three pairs of black heels. The first two pairs were of the (not-especially) sensible court shoe variety: one with studded detailing from Ravel and one with netting detailing from Carvela.(My graduation shoes) The newest addition is a high heeled black sandal from Madden Girl, c/o Sarenza. These are going to look great teamed with skinny jeans and oversized blouses over the Christmas period whilst I'm still trying to hide my baby weight!

So why do you need a pair of black heels? Well the first and most important reason is because you can wear them anywhere. From a night out to a job interview, a wedding to a funeral, if you have a decent pair of black shoes you'll always have something to put on your feet. They also go with anything. So if you have a funny coloured dress, or want to wear mustard jeans but aren't sure what to put on your feet you can just throw on your black heels and know you'll look well put together.

Do I have you convinced? Well then here are some other black heel options, all picked from Sarenza's black heel range:

Love Moschino heart detail heels, £210
Clarks T bar heels, £54.99
Dune lace detail bow heels, £90
Miss L-Fire bow heels, £89.99
Guess gold toe cap heels, £116

Do you own a pair of black heels? How often do you wear them and would you call them one of the pairs of shoes that every girl needs? I'd love to hear what other shoes you think should be on the list!
