Shoes: Kiss me, Baby!

Hi guys,
When I got my last pair of Vivienne Westwood Melissa's it was love at first sight: they look great, they feel great, and believe it or not, they even smell great! Admittedly, the fact that they are a fairly vibrant green colour means that I don't wear them as often as I would like, but I would still rank them as amongst my favourite shoes. Now though, the high class take on the jelly shoes have had another revamp. And if possible, I like this design even better:
photo melissas_zps2db09319.pngSlightly sheer and with a vibrant red lip motif on the front, frankly, what's not to like? These shoes are seriously sexy! The colours aren't too bright that they wouldn't go with just about everything though (unlike my other, fairly difficult to match pair!) I do love a good lip print, so even the lining of these shoes are appealing to me. They're glamorous, they're shiny, the heel is low enough that you can walk in it all day. And if you don't like the black sheer variety they also come in a high gloss baby pink too. Have I sold these to you yet?!

If you want a pair of your own you can pick them up for £183.99. You'll find them here. Wouldn't they be perfect for over the festive period? They'd certainly be a conversation piece at a Christmas party!

What do you think? Do you like these Melissa's with their smooch appeal? Or has another design already stolen your heart - and if so, which one? I'd love to know!

Shoes: My Bank Holiday Pick!

Hi guys,
It's nearly the bank holiday! And for most of us that means fun days out, long walks and (if the weather is on our side) a sunny BBQ or two! Mike, Wilbur and I are visiting my parents for the weekend so we will be enjoying a mix of walks to the park and long afternoons building sandcastles on the beach. So what will I have on my feet? Well for me it has to be practical, stylish, gorgeous Converse!
photo goldconverse_zps6cb73762.pngMy Converse are peach, but I am seriously lusting after these incredible gold ones! They're all leather and have a gold and white tie dye pattern all over them. Even the eyelets are gold: and you know how I feel about anything gold! Love it! Converse teamed with skirts or dresses isn't the look for me: I tried it in my teens, but now I think it's too grungy and too scruffy. It's a classic and preppy combination but I prefer Converse hi tops teamed with skinny jeans and simple shirts or blouses: there's no better casual outfit when you don't want to think about what you're going to throw on and you're having an active and informal day out. With these on my feet though, I'd still be able to show off my fashion credentials!

Want a pair of your own? Well they're a little more expensive than normal Converse but you can have a pair of these for £79.99. You'll find them here.

We just booked a holiday for the three of us to Paris/Disneyland Paris in six weeks time: I will definitely be getting these to wear for the occasion! What do you think?!

Shoes: A Last Hurrah for Summer!!

Hi guys,
I've been bombarding you with images of new autumn/winter shoes and clothes over the last week, but actually, summer isn't over yet! And I definitely don't want to wish away this last month of precious sunshine, or start wearing my boots when I could still be feeling the air between my toes. In fact, I'm wearing a summer frock and flip flops as I'm typing. So in honour of that, here are my favourite sale sandals currently on Spartoo: my last hurrah to summer!
photo rupertsandersonheels_zpsd9cec534.pngThese incredible Rupert Sanderson wedges are currently a whopping 70% off. Instead of costing you £508.99 you could pick them up for £152.70: it's a damn bargain for a beautifully made shoe from a British designer! I just love the combination of colours: brown, tan, orange and turquoise all complement each other perfectly and they all scream summer (they also have the added bonus of looking incredible with a tan). I have a soft spot for Rupert Sanderson, in part because my office used to be right behind his London store, so I walked past the windows lusting after the shoes nearly every day. These shoes look like they've been worn on holiday and been scuffed from walking on the beach. They make you want to head to an expensive beach resort, team them with an oversized straw hat, and strut your stuff.

Fun fact: Did you know that every pair of Rupert Sanderson shoes in named after a daffodil? This particular model is the Nissa. You'd only get that kind of random quirkiness from a British shoe designer!

What do you think of these shoes? Would you wear them, and what would you wear them with? My vote goes for floaty maxi dress: let's keep summer alive whilst we can!

Shoes: Can I think about Autumn yet?

Hi guys,
I know it's the middle of the summer. I know that I'm currently wriggling my (neatly painted) toes in a selection of pretty sandals. But I can't help it: I've already started thinking about my new autumn boots! I love autumn and I love wearing ankle boots. When it comes to shoes they really are my kryptonite!
photo ankleboots_zpsb957727b.pngMy current ankle boot obsession are these fringed boots by Fornarina: don't they look just like something Pocahontas would wear? They aren't to my usual taste at all: I would normally wear black leather boots with hardwear detailing, whereas these are light, suede, and they have a rubber wedge (something that would normally make me baulk). But I love the fringing details, I think the embroidery around the ankle is such a great touch, and that they would look amazing teamed with skinny jeans.

My whole attitude to jeans has changes over the past twelve months and whereas I was once completely committed to daily dresses, now I don't know where I'd be without jeans in my wardrobe. With that though has come a change in my attitude to shoes: with dresses I tended to wear a streamlined black tights and black boots combo. With jeans I think you can be a little more creative without it impacting the overall look and feel of your outfit: or maybe I've got too much time on my hands to think about these things!

Whichever way you look at it, I want these Pocahontas boots. If you want them too then they can be yours for £122.99. Tell me, how would you style them? Do you think they're the perfect boots to wear with jeans, or would you team them with a dress instead?

Shoes: Slightly in love with Terry de Haviland

Hi guys,
I have massively exciting family news this week, which has left me with a huge smile on my face. My little sister Amie is getting married, and I am going to be the (incredibly old sounding) Matron of Honour for the occasion. That means whenever I have been doing any online shopping, I have been deviating towards anything vaguely bridal: think dainty metallic shoes and accessories, floaty lace dresses, and I had a very enjoyable hour looking at the Dreamboys website too (For hen 'do research purposes, of course!)
photo TdHshoes1_zps45b04426.pngWhen I was busy shopping for shoes for another wedding I have to do to next month, probably because I was still thinking about Amie, these incredible gold Terry de Haviland shoes just jumped out at me. Wouldn't these make amazing bridal shoes for a modern, fashion-forward bride?! I've never been much of a fan of delicate and dainty shoes, so these are perfect for me from that point of view. They would look amazing with a dress that showed a little ankle, or even peeping out from under a floor length sheath dress.

I am thinking of getting these for the wedding I am going to (as a guest) in September: they have been reduced in the sale from £353.99 to £212.39 so from a price point of view they're a damn bargain! And the beauty of a statement shoe like this is that you can wear such a simple outfit with them and still look good for any occasion. I love wearing simple black dresses for almost everything, which means I can get away with wearing almost any shoe I like: the more ornate the better, in my opinion!

What do you think? Would you wear a pair of shoes like this for your wedding?

Shoes: Quirky Leopard Print Heels!

Hi guys,
Largely due to the popularity of Jeffrey Campbell's mega-heels with fashion bloggers around the world, quirky and unusual shaped sandals are very much 'in!' I've got a pair of the Jeffrey Campbell rocking horse shoes, and they get compliments everywhere I wear them. But I have a not-very-secret, secret about them: they just aren't that comfortable!

These platform sandals, despite their height and the kinky heel, do look like they'd be comfortable though. I think it's because of the buttery soft leather upper and the adjustable ankle strap. I'd never heard of the brand Casadei before, but when I fell in love with these shoes I did a little research. Launched in 1958 in Italy, Casadei is a family-owned company that's proud of it's values and roots. I love Italian leather shoes, and the styles are a perfect blend of classic and glamourous.
 photo spartoonew_zpscd9d7323.png
I admit that I can imagine Nancy Dell'Olio wearing these, but wouldn't they look amazing with a tan and bright red toe nails? Team with jeans or a little black dress for that little bit of WAG glamour we all aspire to every now and again (Even if we don't admit it!)

The additional discounts on the Spartoo sale means that these shoes are now a whopping 70% off: reduced from a huge £526.99 to a much more affordable £158.10. If you want a pair of your own you can buy them here.

The Summer Sales: Winter boots at Sarenza

Hi guys,
The Sarenza sale is now in it's second month, and it's still going strong: in fact, if anything, the discounts just keep getting bigger! The thing I like most about the Sarenza sale though is that, unlike other stores and websites, is that it's not just the summer stock that's been discounted. You'll also find amazing discounts on pumps, wintery heels, and even boots. So if you're organised and thinking about next winter, you could get an absolute steal on your winter boots if you buy them now in, ahem, July!

I like to be organised, and my taste in winter boots leans towards the classic anyway, so picking up sale bargains works perfectly for me. Regardless of your tastes, or the kinds of boots you like, I think they have something for everyone. Here are my picks of the best boots available in the sale right now: photo sarenzaboots_zps0fbb2da4.pngEmu Australia floral boots. Was £200, now £100. Buy them here.
Camel Georgia Rose biker boots. Was £95, Now £38. Buy them here.
Jeffrey Campbell pink studded boots. Was £160, Now £64. Buy them here.
Mustang cowboy boots. Was £70 Now £33.60. Buy them here.
Tan heeled ankle boots. Was £140 Now £56. Buy them here.
Sweetie wellington boots. Was £31 Now £18.60. Buy them here.

So what do you think? Am I a savvy bargain hunter, or absolutely mental for thinking about next winter when the sun is shining so brightly? And will you be checking out next seasons boots this July?

Shoes: Rainbow Striped Boots for Wet Summers!

Hi guys,
I know it's summer and we should all be padding around in our flip flops. But realistically, with all this rain we've been having, the ideal pair of summer shoes right now is a pair of ankle boots. I have had my black studded ankle boots on nearly every day for the past couple of weeks. They go with everything, but they don't really feel too summery. But luckily, ankle boots don't have to be wintery: you can buy summer ankle boots too! I love these rainbow striped boots from United Nude and they would just be perfect for wearing right now. photo unitednude_zpsbfa371ee.png They're made from a mix of leather and textile, and the low heel means you could wear them all day without any foot discomfort: the holy grail of shoes! I really like United Nude shoes: they're always really unusual, and wearing a pair is such an easy way to make a statement.

The Spartoo sale is still going strong, so these shoes have 20% off: reduced from £145.99 to £116.79. If you want a pair of your own you can buy them here. I have an orange chiffon dress from Topshop that these would look amazing with. They'd also look great with basic silk vests and jeans: they'd make a really simple outfit like that look really on trend.

What shoes are you wearing in all this horrible summer rain? Are you back in your winter boots like me, or are you risking getting wet toes in your flip flops because, godammit, it's July! I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Shoes: Lusting after the Minna Parikka bunny shoes

Hi guys,
Do you ever have one of those moments where you see a pair of shoes and you know that it's love at first sight? Like a birds singing, clouds parting, the world slows down a little kind of love? Well, that's how I felt when I saw these Minna Parikka bunny shoes: photo minnaparikka_zpsb4ce496d.pngI first fell in love with animal shoes when I saw the Marc Jacobs mouse pumps. I remember tirelessly bidding on pairs of them on eBay because I couldn't afford to buy them full price. Then came the Charlotte Olympia cat flats. But if anything I love these shoes more, because they don't have an animal face on them: it makes them more subtle and sophisticated (If you can ever call a shoe with huge rabbit ears sprouting out of the top of them sophisticated!)

I love flat shoes because they fit my lifestyle so much better than heels at the moment: all the running around and walking for miles I do right now demands a trendy statement flat shoe that will go with everything. And these ones definitely tick all the right boxes!

The Spartoo sale has just started this week (Hurrah for the sales!) so these shoes are now 30% off, coming in at £132.99. If you want a pair of your own you can buy them here. I have been thinking about these all week, so I think i'm definitely going to have to succumb and buy a pair!

Sale shopping: Embellished jelly sandals from Primark

Hi guys,
The summer sales are popping up everywhere: today I got two gorgeous dresses from Oasis (pictures to follow) and a cheapy top from Peacocks (because I have no summer clothes for my holiday!) . But my biggest bargain purchases of the day were from Primark: two pairs of embellished jelly shoes for just £3 a pair.

They shoes came in five different colours with five different animal embellishments. Black or yellow with a bumble bee , coral with a toucan, mint green with a butterfly, and neon pink with a flamingo. I got the yellow ones purely because they didn't have the black in my size, and I love insects, and the coral ones because my bikini is coral, and they'll be perfect for schlepping around the pool in: photo jellysandals2_zps60daea25.jpg photo jellysandals1_zps35a45d44.jpg
photo jellysandals4_zps15ba32cf.jpg photo jellysandals3_zps1b7b11df.jpgThanks to Melissa shoes, jelly shoes are hugely popular at the moment. And although normally I will only wear leather shoes, they're surprisingly comfortable and perfect for wearing around swimming pools and beaches because they wipe clean and dry so quickly. I currently have my toenails painted black, so they bumble bee sandals look incredibly effective against them at the moment - I'll be wearing them with skinny jeans and a silky black tee tomorrow.

Have you had any sale bargains so far? And are there any summer sales you're looking forward to starting? I always like to keep an eye out for the Topshop and River Island summer sales: perfect for when you're taking sunny holidays later in the year!

Shoes: Still obsessed with studs

Hi guys,
The trend for studded, rock chick fashion has been around for years. And it's not set to go anywhere soon! Much like the punk rockers of the '80s, nowaways DIY fashionistas are adding studs and pins to everything they can add them to: I've seen studded converse, jackets, blazers, even homemade studded necklaces.

Whether you DIY them or buy them made for you, you need something studded. I have a studded jacket, studded slipper shoes, and a gold studded bracelet from Topshop that I wear nearly every day. And my current obsession is these studded Guess court shoes: photo guesssandals_zps9a463ee9.pngPeep toe, platform, stiletto heel, studded detailing: these shoes have it all! They would look great teamed with super skinny jeans or leggings and a fitted leather jacket for a classic rock chick look. But you could also use them to toughen up a floaty chiffon dress, and add some attitude to your favourite Saturday night going-out look. I want them to wear with jeans and a floaty chiffon blouse for one of my rare cocktail nights!

These Guess studded shoes cost £181.99 and you can buy a pair of your own here.

Do you have anything studded in your wardrobe? And if so do you buy your studded pieces already done, or do you like to add the studs yourself? I'd love to hear your thoughts of this trend!

Summer sales: Pick up a bargain with Sarenza!

Hi guys,
When I got the email saying that the Sarenza summer sale had started, my stomach turned over a little in excitement. After all, the only thing more exciting than shoes is sale shoes! So I trawled through the site checking out all the amazing pretty summer shoes available at discounted prices (when there's still so much of the summer left!) and picked out some of my favourites/the biggest bargains. Here are my choices: photo sarenzasale-1_zps7c950142.pngAsh Engima leopard print boots (60% off). Were £216 to £86.40
Ravel colour block wedges (50% off) Were £80 now £40
Peach Mysuelly heels (50% off) Were £236 now £118
Neon pink and beige Mysuelly flats (50% off) Were £236 now £118
Irregular Choice heels (50% off) Were £119 to £59.50
Paul and Betty neon lips heels (50% off) Were £216 to £108
Camper white sandals (50% off) £76 to £38
Jonak tan booties (50% off) Were £71 to £35.50
Brown chocolate Schubar sandals (50% off) Were £39 to £19.50

I think they're a little high for me, but I'm giving serious consideration to those colour block wedges from Ravel: they're just perfect for summer and I have an orange dress they would look fabulous with. Although it's not so good a look when I wobble and fall off them! The second pair I love (and the obvious choice for me) are the Paul and Betty lip heels: Everyone needs a nude heel in their shoe wardrobe armoury, but these are a quirky and unusual way of wearing them. I just can't resist!

Sarenza have also had a site redesign in the past couple of weeks: the design is now more funky and streamlined. But more importantly, it's now compatible to be used easily on your phone and tablet: dangerous for me as it means I can shop for shoes on the move. Gulp!

Shoes: Beaded sandals for sunny weekends

Hi guys,
It's time for a collective hurrah for the sunny weekend! If you're in the UK you'll agree that this weather has been a long time coming! We're headed to visit my folks for the day, and I will be taking Wilbur to the beach: an occasion that requires a simple, casual outfit. And of course, the perfect shoes! Which is why I'll be wearing these ones: photo edensandals_zps5c0d5f80.jpg photo edensandals2_zps288726a1.jpgThese gorgeous Eden sandals cost just £52 and you can get a pair of your own right here. I was immediately attracted by the mix of the turquoise and orange beads: they have a lovely bohemian feel. Like you got them when you were on a far-flung exotic summer holiday. (There's no need to tell anyone you got them online, not in a dusty street market!)

I plan on teaming them with a simple jersey maxi dress and a floral chiffon kimono. Simple, beachy, and comfortable enough to sit on the beach building sandcastles in: perfect!

What are your plans for the weekend? Are you doing anything nice? And will you be wearing fabulous shoes whilst you do it?

Shoes: Wild about white sandals

Hi guys,
White sandals have a bad reputation. When you think about white sandals you probably think of cheap pleather and Essex girls. But actually, white shoes are about to have a white-hot fashion make over. And it's a trend that I am definitely ready to get on board with!

Head to toe white is a big trend for this season (let's face it, it's a big trend nearly every summer) and where your dresses go, your shoes are sure to follow. White is perfect for summer: it emphasises your tan, keeps you cool in the sun, and looks great teamed with warm summery colours like coral and turquoise.

I love to wear white when I'm on holiday: white and gold is my favourite summer colour combo. White maxi dresses and white linen trousers teamed with delicate gold jewellery are my favourite beach-holiday outfits. But finding shoes to team with them is difficult...

photo whitesandals_zps63b3cf16.pngEnter these gorgeous heeled sandals, which are the perfect solution, and will look great with any white outfit. With their coral, turquoise, and snakeskin geometric panels, they add colour and interest to the simple white sandal. They also make a shoe that could look cheap look and feel very classic and expensive.

These Chie Mihara sandals cost £218.99. If you want to get your hands on a pair of your own then you can find them here.

How do you feel about this season's white trend? Would you wear white sandals, or is their Essex-girl reputation enough to put you off?

Shoes: Be a Lady in Red (Heels)

Hi guys,
When it comes to heels, I think if you're going to wear them they should make a statement. And nothing makes a statement more than red shoes. Dorothy (of Wizard of Oz) fame knew it, and I know it too!

Red is a very on trend colour at the moment, with celebs galore wearing tailored red suits, and Holly Wiloughby wearing a truly stunning red dress to the BAFTA's last week. Red is a colour that packs a punch and takes no prisoners: it's eye-catching, sexy, and definitely not for the fainthearted. Which is why I'm looking to add a pair of red shoes to my shoe wardrobe, and I think I've found the perfect ones:
photo redheels1_zps3abcbb9d.pngThese Charles Jourdan red court shoes are just gorgeous, and with their glossy curves they remind me of a sports car! They come in patent leather and have a foot-lengthening pointy toe. The heel is made of a super-shiny lacquer and the insole and lining is made of goatskin: I can only imagine how soft and comfortable that will make them.
photo redheels2_zps0d309340.pngThese would look perfect teamed with a simple black cocktail dress for a girly night out. But I'm also excited about seeing them teamed with distressed skinny jeans and a simple chiffon blouse. Elegant evening style at its finest - all I need is somewhere to give the outfit a try!

The heels cost £278.99 (so not cheap, but you can tell that just by looking at them. They look like expensive shoes) And if you fancy getting a pair of your own, they are available here.

Shoes: Comfort soles for the soul!

Hi guys,
When it comes to weddings, parties, and anything that involves drinking cocktails, I am definitely a heel girl. But when it comes to everyday summer days I prefer foot comfort! Summer to me means picnics in the park, strolls along the beach, and walking everywhere: why drive when you can feel the sun on your shoulders?

With that in mind I want sandals that look good but are so comfortable that I'm not thinking about my feet whilst I'm enjoying the rare British summer. Enter my latest picks from Sarenza: these comfort sole 'soft sole' Clarks sandals with their stud detailing. photo clarkssarenza1_zps5f46d4e4.jpg photo clarkssarenza2_zps43ef33e0.jpgI always associate comfort sole shoes with old ladies on buses wearing pleated skirts and pulling shopping trolleys. But these aren't those shoes.

Yes, they're so comfortable you can walk in them forever without any rubbing or blisters. But they also look great: the on trend stud detailing is perfect with the black leather and metallic gold combo. And because of my obsession with gold jewellery they go with everything in my wardrobe, making them the perfect shoes!

Shoes: Lusting after chunky shoes from Shelly's

Hi guys,
Spring has sprung which means it's time for thoughts to turn to pretty sandals and floaty summer dresses: and when I saw these chunky block heels from Shelly's I knew they'd be just perfect for clomping along the sea front in, ice cream in hand, whilst wearing a floral tea dress.

Of course in reality, I'll be spending the bank holiday weekend in jeans and flip flops with a pot of paint and pureed carrot in hand. But a girl can dream! And right now my dream is of bottle green heeled shoes.
photo shellysspartoo1_zps3d7058f4.png photo shellysspartoo2_zpsdeb803cc.pngI have a couple of pairs of Shelly's shoes already, so despite their height I can vouch for their comfort: the inner sole is leather, which means any rubbing or pain is minimal. It was the colour of these that grabbed my attention first, followed by the chunky wooden block heel. I love chunky heels because they help make your legs look slimmer: and when the sun comes out and the leggings come off I need all the leg-lengthening help I can get!

These shoes have a very retro '70s feel which is the perfect antidote to the paired back, minimalist shoes that are so in vogue at the minute. I'm really not a fan of minimalism: my motto is that over-the-top is so much more fun!

These beauties come in at £110.99 and you can buy them here. What do you think?

Shoes: In praise of Georgia Rose

Hi guys,
Yesterday I went out for lunch and, wanting to add a pop of colour to my outfit, immediately added my neon panel boots by Georgia Rose. They are some of my favourite boots, and I wear them all the time. I have several pairs of Georgia Rose shoes: my favourites are eye-catching navy blue brogues covered in silver stars: they always get plenty of attention whenever I wear them. And yet, almost no one who admires them (it happens a lot!) has heard of the brand that makes them: which is why this is a post in praise of Georgia Rose! photo winterboots3.jpg
Georgia Rose is a French brand, which is probably why Sarenza stock so many of their styles (Sarenza is a French brand too). Here comes the blurb: "The Georgia Rose woman has is dynamic, feminine, ambitious and glamorous and before anything else, she is contemporary with a passion for fashion. Because Georgia Rose knows that life is made up of a thousand moments, the brand has created shoes for every occasion. A fantastic relationship between quality and price, a fantastic range and even a bags and handbags line: Georgia Rose is going to become your new best friend!"

Because they focus on comfort as well as being fashion-forward, Georgia Rose is fast becoming one of my favourite brands: I like a shoe I can wear all day without my feet aching, and these definitely tick that box!

Here are some of my picks of the very best Georgia Rose shoes available for this Spring/Summer:
photo georgiarose1_zps58f99cf0.pngPink polka dot loafers, £111.
Green and yellow brogues, £74.40 (Currently 40% off)
Stappy tan sandals, £60.90 (Currently 30% off)
Yellow velvet wedge sandals, £72.10 (Currently 30% off)
Brown and gold sandals, £111.
Floral platform heels, £111.

I saw the brown and gold sandals for the first time when I was putting this post together, and now I'm slightly obsessed with them! I know having that thick ankle strap will make my legs look shorter, but I like them so much I think I'm going to have to have them anyway. And those yellow wedges just scream summer: I love yellow teamed with black, so with a little black cotton dress these could be yet another summer staple. My final favourites (I have so many) are the pretty pink loafers. I have three pairs of slipper-type shoes already but I can't get enough of them: as comfy as ballet pumps but much more on trend: what's not to love?

Have you tried any shoes from Georgia Rose, and if so which ones? What do you think of the brand? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Shoes: Breaking out my Vivienne Westwood x Melissa heels!

Hi guys,
As soon as I saw these Vivienne Westwood x Melissa heels on the Sarenza website, I knew I had to have them. I just loved the vibrant green colour and the cutesy pink contrasting bow. They aren't the easiest colour to match to, and I don't have loads of things in my wardrobe that will go with them (unless you count black, of course. I have plenty of black!) but I just couldn't resist!
photo viviennewestwood1-1_zpsfcdedf05.jpg photo viviennewestwood2-2_zps5fcb8191.jpg photo viviennewestwood3_zps5d204393.jpgThey look great with jeans, especially this lighter denim, so they'll be perfect for the summer. I think with skinny jeans and a simple white blouse or shell top they'll look great for lazy al fresco lunches, or evenings in the local beer garden. I'm also now on the look out for a tea dress in that exact shade of green, so that I'll have a frock I can wear with them too!

This particular style also comes in black and white, orange and pink, and pink and blue. You can check them all out and get your own pair here.

I can't wait for the weather to brighten up a little more so I can take these babies out for a spin: I'm looking forward to showing you an outfit post with them!

Accessories: Hit the Coordination Station!!

Hi guys,
I have one fashion quirk that I'm pretty sure all the 'cool kids' like to secretly laugh at, but I just don't care. I like my shoes and handbags to match. All the time! That's why I have so many pairs of tan shoes: because my favourite handbag is tan. And you can guarantee that if I find a pair of heels I love them I will be out on the high street hunting down a clutch bag to match it. When it comes to accessories, I am definitely a matchy-matchy girl.

So how excited was I when, whilst shopping on Sarenza for both a new handbag and a new pair of summer pumps, I shortlisted both of these items only to later realise that they matched almost perfectly: it must be fate!

I also have a great pair of beige suede sandals that are going to look great with this bag when the weather warms up a little bit! I thought the bag was a brave choice, because I usually opt for tan or black when it comes to leather accessories: but the warm chartreuse stripe on this one is going to be perfect for injecting a little bit of colour into my summer wardrobe. I love it!

Do you like to match your shoes to your handbag? Or do you prefer the unmatched look?
