Do you have yummy hair?

Hey guys,
Yesterday I went out with Hannah (London Rose) and Amy (Lipgloss86), and some of the lovely Aussie girls to find and pap girls that were having yummy hair days, and spread the Aussie Angels love!
Photobucket
Spreading yummy hair days magic outside yummys cafe - It was funny at the time!

I seemed to make a beeline for all of the ladies with coloured hair, and by the end of the day everyone could guess which girls I was going to want to photograph: some of these beautiful redheads almost made me reconsider being blonde, although I also discovered some new shades of blonde i'm desperate to try, so there'll be no drastic changes just yet!
Photobucket
The girl in the top left corner has the best hair I have ever seen, and the girl in the top right has what will be my next shade of blonde: it's gorgeous!! I couldn't believe there were so many girls looking so fabulous on a Sunday morning: i'm lucky if I can get out of bed and put a brush through my hair! Having said that, it's only when you're really looking at people's heads that you notice how much bad hair there is about: not that you can really judge on a Sunday (that would just be cruel!)

Are you having a gorgeous hair day? I'm not, as i'm trying to grow out my fringe and i'm absolutely hating the way it looks: I say at least 3 times a day that i'm having it cut, but I still persevere! If you have hair you want to share then send me your pictures: it would be soo fun to do a readers edition of the yummy hair days hunt; plus it means I could covet new hair styles from the comfort of my own computer!

LFW: In which I do not look like any kind of rodent

Photobucket
Thank you to the lovely ladies of emerging fevour for taking a picture of me smiling that doesn't make me look like an overactive chipmunk!

(I know you've seen this outfit before - It's the one I was wearing on Friday)

Love, Tor xx

PS - Today is a busy day, and I have quadruple checked that my camera is secured in my handbag, so expect loads of posts to pop up over the next 24 hours!

When I grow up....

...I want to dress just like this lady!
.
I haven't ever done a street style post before: mostly because i'm waaay to shy to approach people on the street and ask them if I can take their picture! But when I saw this fabulous looking woman on the bus back from lunch with my sister, I just couldn't resist getting my camera out.
.
As the song sort of goes, its not that easy wearing green. But with confidence obviously in the blue bags alongside her shopping, she does just that:

I love this coat and matching hat combo. And the green really was this vibrant; almost Kermit the frog green. Having seen it close up, I suspect the fur was real. But although I wouldn't wear it myself I certainly enjoyed looking at it and don;t feel its my place to judge. And check out those big gold buttons? I've been looking for buttons like that for my old black coat for weeks!
.
Its not just the hat and coat that were to love though; Mrs Green had also paid such attention to detail! Her leather gloves, oversized bag and shoes (with a slight heel I hope you note, which is more than impressive at her age) looked fabulous!
.
I always imagined myself growing old disgracefully, probably in early nineties Versace, AbFab style, but now I might be changing my mind. It seems there's sophistication can have its own attention grabbing personality too, if you throw yourself into it.
.
Lady on the bus, whose name I wish I knew, I salute you and your brave fashion choices!
.
Love Tor x

Street Eeek!

Is it just me, or has the quality of vogue.co.uk's street chic daily wear feature gone, well, really really down hill?

Now I know that style is subjective, and one woman's 'blah' is another woman's dream come true. But it seems like the criteria for being featured has stopped being "must be wearing a really great outfit" and started being "must have legs like a new born colt".

Take the following as prime examples each taken from vogue.co.uk this week; all nice outfits and i'm sure wonderful women wearing them (if this is you, please don't send me any hate mail!) but not exactly what you would call vogue worthy, fashion forward outfits:
I know vogue.com isn't famed for its love of street stylings ala the facehunter, but that doesn't mean that season old styles worn in unimaginative ways should grace their site, does it? There are hundreds of women wearing these outfits heading in and out of my office every day, and i'm sure most of them don't give two hoots about fashion! (oh dear! minor bitchy moment it seems!)
.
Who knows, maybe, like me the vogue photographer hasn't quite got round to buying their new winter coat yet, and they're covering this feature guerilla style (straight in and straight out, as quick as you can!) until the sun comes out again. I'd rather believe this than that the fashion magazine i've trusted since my youth has started (say it quietly..) getting it wrong!
I just hope that doesn't mean I have to keep waiting for the quality of my daily fix to improve until spring, or more realistically if we're waiting for some sunshine, July!
Lots of love,
Tor xx
