The Clements Ribeiro SS13 Swan Collection for Evans

Hi guys,
I've just seen some of the images from the latest Swan Collaboration between Clements Ribeiro and Evans. I was impressed with the first drop from this collab, and now there are several pieces from this new one that I really love too! To help promote the collection Evans and Clements Ribeiro enlisted the most stylish and influential personalities within the plus-size blogosphere. UK bloggers Georgina Horne, Bethany Rutter and Callie Thorpe have been photographed alongside Nicolette Mason and Marie Denee from the US, to showcase the clothes on differing shapes, provide powerful inspiration and give a statement of the relevance of plus size voices in the world of fashion.

I thought it was a smart move by Evans to have plus sized fashion bloggers model the collection: plus sized blogs are the newest popular 'fad' in fashion blogging (about time too!) and the resulting images look fantastic! photo evans1_zps11d64045.png photo evans2_zps7030ec9c.png photo evans3_zpsa73736ae.png photo evans4_zps71198c71.png photo evans5_zps7b7cc559.png photo evans6_zps61976367.pngSo what was the inspiration for the collection? Well, designer Inacio Ribeiro said: "After three collections in which we tried to create smart capsule wardrobes, including some serious eveningwear, we decided to come with a surprise turn by creating a holiday range that is playful and easy. "The shapes are very casual and straightforward and the prints are full of wit. It is infused with the urban energy the bloggers inspired us with, but also ready for a week of fun in Rio."

What do you think of the collection? I really like the lobster printed jersey dress, whereas the other graphic prints aren't really to my tastes. But that lobster dress has my name all over it - as does the domino clutch bag!

The collection is available in store and online now, and prices start from £35.

Trend: Ice lolly legs!

Hi guys,
I'm trend obsessed. I don't really have my own deeply ingrained sense of personal style, I see myself as more of a chameleon. I just unashamedly love to follow trends, and make them my own. But I also know what works for my shape and fits into my current wardrobe, and what doesn't. And sadly, currently on top of that 'what doesn't' list is this season's hot obsession with bright and candy coloured jeans and trousers.
Photobucket
If only real life was as happy as a GAP ad!

I bought a pair of red skinny jeans from Topshop, and wore them just twice. I really wanted the trend to work for me, but in reality I just ended up wearing outfits that made my (already bigger than the rest of me) look disproportionately large and, well, bulbously bright red!

If I could rock the trend though, here's how I would be wearing it: in bold block colours teamed with equally attention grabbing masculine blouses and pared down accessories. Feminine, understated, and fashionable. Live the dream:
Photobucket
(All of the model pics are from Primark) Pink skinny jeans with belt, Select, £22. Yellow jeans, Topshop, £38. Green jeans, Oasis, £40.

Of the bloggers I regularly read and love, Jen (A Little Bird Told Me) and Reena (Fashion Daydreams) are the two that rock the coloured jean look in a way I can only dream of. Leaving me in my selection of black jeans (my favourite!) hoping that the darker denim look will be back on trend in no time!

What trends do you love but can't wear? If you really loved a look would you wear it anyway, even if it didn't suit your figure?

Shoe Lust: Sarenza's A/W Collection Preview

Hi guys,
It seems like I'm destined to spend my days in accessories heaven: and who am I to complain?! First I lusted over the M&S accessories range, and now I've had the chance to view some of the newest arrivals in Sarenza's A/W collection, and I'm already mentally preparing a whole new wardrobe based on them!

In the months I have been a Sarenza brand ambassador, I have genuinely fallen in love with the website, and the massive variety of brands they represent. And I think my obsession is only going to increase, if this new collection is anything to go on:
Photobucket
These leopard print and red patent leather shoes from Georgia Rose (£157) look, if possible, even better in the flesh than they do in this photograph. The leather of the leopard print panels was so soft, and these would be perfect teamed with cigarette trousers for a quirky take on this season's androgynous trend.
Photobucket
Sparkle is my newest obsession, and I know I won't get anywhere near the holiday season without investing in some! My favourites are the front pair with the patent toe, also from Georgia Rose (£127), but I also have a slight obsession with the Jeffrey Campbell Lita boots.
Photobucket
Speaking of Jeffrey Campbell, both of these shoes are from the brand, although the leopard print ones don't land on the site for another couple of months. I actually just ordered the wedges (they should arrive tomorrow!) but in the dalmatian print with the black heel. They look gorgeous, and I can't wait to team them with leggings and flippy little frocks.
Photobucket
Finally, not many people know that as well as selling shoes, Sarenza also has a massive collection of handbags. I love my Friis & Co satchel from the site, which I have been using exclusively since it arrives. But I could be tempted to upgrade it for this patent Lollipops version: the colours are lovely!

I think my bank balance could be in jeopardy this month! There are so many shoes and boots that I want, that it's going to take serious willpower to resist buying them all!

Find me at Yahoo's Style it light!

Hi guys,
I meant to mention this ages ago, but as well as blogging here (of course!) you can now also find me blogging every week day on the Dress Up! blog: the exclusive blog for Style it Light, which is Diet Coke's new dedicated fashion hub on Yahoo.

Photobucket
Although I have a vested interest, I tell the truth when I say that it's actually a really good, and very readable fashion destination. You'll find features, columns from some of my fave bloggers and fashion writers, photo galleries to inspire (and make you feel serious wardrobe envy) and of course the blog, which I write in collaboration with Jen of The Style Crusader.

As the name implies, the blog is about dresses: dresses I covet, dresses I own, new trends and how to wear them! Why not pop over and say hello?!

Love, Tor x

PS - If that still isn't enough of my writing a week for you (i'm aware that at this point i'm only talking to my mum!) then don't forget that you can also finding me blogging for styleretail.com five times a week: talking about all things fashion and beauty, and usually compiling long shopping lists of things I wish I could buy!

The Sarenza trip to Paris

Hi guys,
As I mentioned on Tuesday, on Wednesday afternoon I headed to Paris with Reena from Fashion Daydreams and Jen from A little bird told me, to meet the lovely Sarenza team and go to a party to celebrate the launch of the new "What's Hot!" section of their French site (which will be coming to the UK site soon!) The Whats Hot section basically showcases some of the best shoes they have on the site: there is a Jeffrey Campbell tapestry pair on there right now that i'm totally in love with ! We had such a wonderful time, that i'm going to give you a blow-by-blow account of the trip. This is going to be a pretty image heavy post: we just couldn't stop taking photos!

By Night:
We arrived in Paris and headed to our hotel to change, then it was straight to the party! Several French bloggers had been out taking street style photos, and we had to choose who's style we liked best: all the guests voted, and the winner gets a massive 5000 euros worth of shoes! Once the serious business of choosing our favourite street style was over, we got on with enjoying ourselves. Yummy cocktails, great canapes, hotdogs, and gorgeous shoes: what more do you need from a night out?!

By Day:

Following our party night, we had a leisurely day planned for the rest of our time in Paris. We met the Sarenza team for a delicious brunch, then headed to several vintage shops for a good rummage: I had no idea vintage was so cheap in Paris! I picked up a full skirted dress and a sequinned top for just 15 euros. The rest of our time was spent meandering through tiny streets, and sitting outside cafes in the sun. It was a wonderful day!

Whenever i'm in Paris admiring the little things (like the graffiti or the shape of a tree!) it makes me want to come home and look at London with fresh eyes too: I think it's easy to miss all that stuff in the city you live in, but admire it when you're away. Nonetheless, Paris is beautiful, and I have such fun everytime i'm there. It was such a wonderful break, so big thanks again to Sarenza for organising such a great trip!

Westfield's Big Fashion Wardrobe

Hi guys,
Westfield London's Big Wardrobe Event finished yesterday. Did any of you manage to pop down and check it out? As part of the event there were catwalk shows, bloggers workshops, make overs and fun photoshoots, and the much-talked about tweet mirror, which allowed you to take your picture and upload it to twitter, straight from the mirror itself: genius! And lots of highstreet labels signed up to showcase their Spring/Summer collections, and share competitions, promotional offers, and all important style advice:
Photobucket
Also as part of the event, bloggers were invited down to Westfield (myself included) to show off our summer 2011 style (or in my case, lack of!) We had our hairs primped and our make up touched up, before standing in front of the camera looking scrubbed up. I don't think its the finest photo of me that i've ever seen, but what the hell, here's my final shot:
Photobucket
All of the blogger photos have been posted over on the Westfield London website. And now YOU dear readers are being given the chance to vote for the blogger who's style you like, and who you think should win a new Spring/Summer Wardrobe worth £500. I would love it if you would vote for me by following the link and clicking either the facebook or twitter share buttons. I could use the summer wardrobe revamp prior to all of this summer's big events! I cannot believe how stylish the other bloggers all looked: my photo was taken at 730pm after a long day in the office, so i'm just glad you can't see the bags under my eyes!

Boux Avenue: Great lingerie, Amazing party!

Hi guys,
Earlier this week I had the opportunity to go to the launch of Theo Paphitis' (yes, he of The Dragon's Den fame) new lingerie brand: Boux Avenue. The Boux Avenue website launched today, and the company are also launching several stand alone stores across the country: the one in Glasgow opened today, and the company are opening several more stores in the coming weeks.

Aside from the fact that the lingerie was gorgeous (and fits all the way from an A-G cup, so it a range that almost everyone can wear!) I also have to say, this was honestly one of the best events I have ever been to!
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
The event started with champagne and a cream tea whilst looking at the lingerie from the garden party collection: lots of girly feminine blush pinks. Whilst we were nibbling (read: scoffing) cakes, a silhouette artist cut out our silhouettes! Then we moved on to the next room (Boux Avenue had hired the whole of Sketch, which is a beautiful venue with some of my favourite toilets in London) where there was more beautiful lingerie clad models, fortune tellers and magicians, and yummy cocktails. There was also the bloggers favourite: a photobooth!

The main event was spectacular: ballet dancers, tap dancers, jazz dancers and a trapeze artist had us standing in awe at the talents, as well as there ability to perform wearing such skimpy outfits (all of which, Theo told us, are available to buy at Boux Avenue) We had such a wonderful evening, and I left feeling so inspired I heading straight onto their website at 12.30 this afternoon (which is when it launched)

As an aside: look! It's me with Nick Knowles! I look super excited because he's something of a childhood crush of mine!

Thanks to both Jenny of The Style PA, and Reena at Fashion Daydreams, both for being awesomely good fun to hang out with, and for the pictures above: my camera ran out of battery, just as the fun was starting!

One for the bloggers: On sponsored posts

Find out more on ebuzzing.co.uk
Hi guys,

I often get asked whether blogging is my full time job, and how I make money from it. Well the answer is that blogging isn't my full time job, and although I'd love to make my living from it, I don't (well not yet, but a girl can dream!) But I do make some money from it (a little bit!) and I do that in a couple of ways: the first is the advertising you see all around the site, the second is occasional sponsored links, and the third is in sponsored posts (yup, like this one!)

I was reluctant to get involved in writing sponsored posts for ages: they have a really bad reputation! I had concerns about legitimacy, relevance, and transparency: even though there aren't as strict rules about blog advertising in the UK as there are in the States I didn't want anyone to feel tricked, or not realise what they were reading was sponsored And frankly, I didn't want you to get bored of reading about stuff that isn't relevant to my usual fashion-y goodness and go away! So when I did decide to go down the sponsored post route (initially as an experiment) I decided to do it with ebuzzing. Ebuzzing have a really strict code of ethics, and always require full disclosure, which was exactly the kind of company I was looking for. You can also say exactly what you want, and unlike other companies they never give you the text you have to post. You can choose which campaigns you want to get involved in (so I only choose fashion or lifestyle ones) and they work with some great brands. My dream brands to work with would be ASOS or Topshop: I write about them so often that those are the kinds of sponsored posts that write themselves- more a girl can dream moments!

A good rule of thumb if you're thinking of writing sponsored posts is to have your own code of ethics:if you know what you are and aren't prepared to do then it makes it much easier to decide whether to accept or decline a campaign. Here are mine:

- I only write about brands I would genuinely endorse.
- I always tell the truth, even if there are negative aspects to the review.
- I am always fair. If I don't have anything positive to say about the brand at all then I don't except their money for the sponsored post.
- I always disclose that the post is sponsored, even if the advertiser doesn't ask me to.
- I write what I want to. It's my blog, and I wouldn't accept a sponsored post where I was told what to say.

Ebuzzing is a brand that works with my code of ethics, because it is very similar to their own! Find out more on ebuzzing.co.uk or register to start using the site.

Do you accept sponsored posts on your blog, and if not, why not? Do you have any rules for sponsorship, and what are they? I'd love to hear your guys thoughts on this!

Clothing at Tesco: Post it on!

Photobucket
Check out these shoulder pads!? I was very excited when Clothing at Tesco asked me to take part in Post it On (basically, bloggers tag!) and even more excited when the dress I chose to start my game of post it on arrived this morning! Post it on is celebrating the new Autumn/Winter collection currently instore/online from Tesco: it was actually hard to choose just one item, as there was so much on the site I wanted (especially from the F&F Couture range, which looks 10 times better this season than it did last!) But enough of that, lets look at the dress I picked!!
Photobucket
The dress is from the new A/W Florence and Fred Couture range, and these pictures really don't do it justice as they make what are in fact soft velvet details look rather shiny! It has buttons up the cuffs, and tiny Victorian style buttons all the way up one side of the dress. It has draping across the hips, an assymetric hem, and those show stopping shoulder pads: i'm nuts about this dress!

The dress is so dramatic that it speaks for itself, so I styled it pretty simply with chunky wedge boots and a skinny black studded belt, to draw in the waist of the dress a little. I was worried it would make my boobs look too big (I never wear anything with a high neck like this) but I didn't think they looked too bad to be honest!

The blogger i'm posting this on to (randomly chosen by pointing my finger at my links page!) is Harriet of Where is Harriet. In playground parlance, I believe i'm supposed to hit you and scream "Tag!" Can't wait to see what you pick!

TKMaxx store opening: Charing Cross Road

Last night I was invited to the opening of the new TKMaxx store on Charing Cross Road: just a two minute walk from Tottenham Court Road station, this makes TKMaxx alot more convenient for anyone based in central London, as usually their stores are on retail parks, or out in the suburbs. We were treated to champagne, themed dancers, and super-stylist Kate of Make Do Style was on hand for styling tips and advice.
Photobucket
The "gold label" stand was the stand I was most interested in, which is where they keep the designer labels: they had the Stella McCartney boat shirt dress reduced to £169 (and in my size!) It felt like fate, but I showed some self control and left the dress on the rail; the wedding fund remains intact! Other dresses of note were the Liberty print dress with the beautiful birds on, and the Pucci dress covered in drop sequins (both shown below) The most impressive section for me though was the shoes: there were 3 very covetable pairs of irregular choice shoes that had my name on them, and for just £29.99.
Photobucket
The store opening was also used as an opportunity to introduce us to ModBox, which is TKMaxx's new department. It is very much a "young trends" collection, and I would say aimed at a teen market. Lots of short dresses, logo tees, and embellishment. Even looking at it made me feel old, but I think my younger self would've picked up a piece or two. Decide for yourselves:

Overall it was a fun evening, and if I didn't know it last night I know it this morning: The store is obviously going to be a massive success. I walk past it on my way to work in the morning, and they were queueing around the block to get in!

The big bloggers night out!

I'm a bit late to the table with this, and others have written it up much better than I can, but Friday evening saw a big fashion bloggers dinner: other twenty bloggers gathered round to gossip, drink cocktails, and eat too much dim sum. It all happened thanks to Fiona of Save our Shoes. And it was lovely! One of the best things about blogging is the sense of community it brings to what could be a lonely hobby, and it's nice to put faces to names, and meet people you talk to virtually.

Dunce that I am, I left my camera at home, but here are some pictures taken from my iphone:
Photobucket
Pictured are Fiona, Reena of Fashion Daydreams and Kristabel of I Want You to Know, and all the other bloggers enjoying their cocktails! As always it was lovely to catch up with Jenny from The Style PA, whom I sat with during dinner. And I met and learnt about a whole host of other blogs including: Frankie of Swell Vintage, and Alex of Alex Loves. There were so many other blogs and bloggers that it was overwhelming: hopefully next time i'll get to say hello to more lovely ladies!

I think it's fair to say though, that a great night was had by all. I can't wait to do it again!

Fashion thoughts of the day....

Photobucket
Photo shows: Madonna's daughter Lourdes, genuine dutch clog (say with accent), tricksy jumpsuit, banned diesel ad, and Lady Gaga dressed as a man

- No doubt you've read about it, but have you actually checked out Lourdes (as in Madonna's daughter) blog? It's not actually her blog I don't think, but the blog for the tween clothing collection the pair have launched - of the three posts so far my guess would be that she's written half of one. Effectively its a corporate blog designed to sell the collection, but I can't help but wonder if its the wrong decision to put Lourdes "out there" so much when she is only 13: blogging ultimately brings you closer to people (fans and critics) and I don't know if it's fair to ask someone so young to deal with that. Interested to know what you guys think about it!?

- I'm beginning to wonder if fashion is less about taste and more about habit. I remember wearing clogs shoes the first time round back in the nineties (my mum worried they'd warp my feet and my dad used to always ask if I was from Holland) and this left me very anti their revival. I was not cool in the nineties! At one point I even insisted it was a trend that I wasn't buying in to. (and there are very few of those) Until I saw clog sandals on every blogger and in every magazine and on passing feet on my way to work - at first I got used to them, then that acceptance turned to like, and the like to desire. So yesterday I bought a pair!

- Why are jumpsuits so impossible to remove when you really need to go to the loo?! I'm addicted to my jumpsuits on hot sunny days but find myself hopping around with my elbows bent like a contortionist trying to get them off whenever I need a wee. Is there some trick that i'm missing??

-Whenever you're told somethings been banned for being offensive, do you immediately want to know what it looks like? Diesel have had two posters banned: one showing a woman flashing a CCTV camera, and another showing a woman photographing her crotch. The text on both says "smart may have the brains but stupid has the balls. Be stupid. Diesel." All I can think about is how I wish I could see these banned ads: which is why it's in the picture above. I always think banned ads are great PR for companies - it's the only way you can get so many national papers talking about your brand and product.

- I love Lady Gaga and I love her even more now i've seen the pictures of her dressed up as a man! The pics are for Japan Vogue Homme, and I love her for having the balls (excuse the pun) to tackle the rumours that she is a man/hermaphrodite etc head on, and on her own terms. I also think she makes a seriously handsome man!

This are all little bits i've noticed or been thinking about today, but none of them are big enough to warrant a post of their own. I'm addicted to Glee and want to end this with a tribute to Sue Sylvester (That's how Tor sees it!) but i'm just not cool enough to pull it off! Maybe i'll mumble something cool in "youth speak" like Lourdes did instead.....

Tell me something I don't need...

PhotobucketDo y'all remember Becky? That's her, up there! Well, back when this blog was funny and clever, Becky was the one that wrote the funny clever stuff. You see Becky is an extraordinary writer and an even more extraordinary artist (I don't understand most of it, but important people say she's magnificant!) She is also flat broke. I think its obligatory to be broke if you want to be a famous artist one day, so see this as a sign of her success! But Becky doesn't like the debt of doom very much so, genius that she is, has started a brand new blog and money making scheme all rolled into one: it's called tell me something I don't need.

Becky is selling her life on ebay (including every single edition of Vogue from the last 10 years. Yes, she kept them all!) She's selling her stuff, but keeping the memories, by telling the stories of all the things she's selling in heart warming and very funny blog posts. It's early days, but i'm quite sure that with all the stories and all the stuff, you could aquire everything you need to be happy forever from Becky alone, over the next six months.

Help my best friend be debt free by the time she turns 30, and buy her stuff. But if you're broke too then don't worry: visit the blog and share the stories and the memories: they come for free!

PS - Check back later today, when I will be announcing a new competition.

Pop up store at Whiteleys

On Friday Whiteleys opened a floor of pop up shops to the public. There is a Wildfox store, a Junk food store, a Disney Couture store, and the first ever Frost French pop up store. On Thursday night I was invited to the launch party of the event (thanks to Self Service) and I must say I was impressed: I've never been to Whiteleys before, and it's a beautiful building with a great range of shops and restaurants.
Photobucket
The actual launch party was loads of fun: I'm not normally impressed by celebrities (they're just ordinary people going about their business) but even I couldn't stop staring at Kelly Osbourne (who sadly I took a terrible picture of - see below) who is incredibly beautiful and very petite in the flesh. Her fiance isn't much of a looker though!
Photobucket
As well as the obligatory celebrities there were loads of lovely bloggers at the event and I spent my evening taking advantage of the Tequilla bar with Jenny of the Style PA and Fiona of Save our Shoes. The entertainment of the evening was Alice Dellal's band, Thrush Metal, who wore old man face masks, so although I took a pic of one of the masked folks, I didn't actually see the lady herself.
Photobucket
If you're in the Whiteleys area (it's off Queensway) then I would recommend popping in to check out the pop ups: the attention to detail with the store layouts is worth a look (the Frost French store has lines of tiny pot plants in the windows and under each rail of clothing) as is the Disney Couture store: I could look at that jewellery all day!

Blogger event: ASOS access all areas

Last night I went to the hotly anticipated ASOS access all areas event. I'm really excited that so many great brands are reaching out to bloggers and giving us the chance to explore their collections close up: I think this is especially important for an online brand such as ASOS. We were given the opportunity to mingle with other bloggers whilst supping champagne and nibbling canapes and then there were rails full of new season clothes to rifle through and try on: heaven!
ASOS access all areas 2ASOS access all areas 3
There were hair stylists and make up artists from Illamasqua (a brand I have to try again, the make up lasts and lasts) and then, once we were all dressed up we were ready to strike a pose first for the photographer, and then on the catwalk. Strutting on the famous ASOS catwalk was a must, although it was one of the most embarrassing things i've ever done: it's a good job I wasn't built like a beanpole, as i'm far too shy to be a model! And it gives you a new respect for the ASOS models I watch walking up and down it every lunchtime: it's not easy!
Asos access all areas
Star of the show however was Butters, the fashion dog, who had everybody cooing and clucking like mother hens. She is adorable, and a better walker than most of the bloggers too! Here she is posing with gorgeous bloggers Scarlett and Emily in her ASOS paisley scarf.
ASOS access all areas 4ASOS access all areas 6
The range of clothes to try was excellent and I was especially impressed with the accessories (hence why I took so many photos of them!) The buttery soft mustard leather bag below was a favourite: I couldn't stop stroking it!
ASOS access all areas 5
Every trend you could fancy for spring/summer was covered including some lovely nude and lace tops and some bold tribal prints. There were also some great dresses with structural details including a really special black bodycon dress with caged shoulders. I tried on two gorgeous evening dresses perfect for balmy summer nights: pictures of those to follow. There was an incredible grey marl sweater with a sheer peachy chiffon panelled back which I fell in love with but didn't take a photo of (it's on the site here) I would love to experiment with this over floral patterned body con dresses. And we all know i'm a shoe addict so this is predictable but: sigh! There were stack heels, platforms, wedges. And some peep toe summer booties in tan or black that I loved: peep toe booties (summer boots, if you will) are the next item on my "must have" list.

All in all I found myself longing for the weather to perk up and looking for an excuse to spend some time online shopping for my new summer wardrobe: It was a fantastic night.

Love, Tor x

PS - In the spirit of disclosure, we were also given a wonderful goodie bag containing a Illamasqua lipgloss, gorgeous necklace (I'm wearing mine now) and a gift voucher, which I just spent: can't wait to show you what I chose!

LFW: Bloggers take it in the neck again!

It all started with this article on the global herald. (Not sure how much sense this will make until you read the article!) I think that there are some interesting and valid points in the article, but there are also many that seem so wrong to me. It's them I want to address.

Firstly, I don't like the suggestion that there should be a fixed hierarchy of blogger or press types that all PR agencies should follow. Yes there is a hierarchy and rightly, big publications and buyers come first but the hierarchy of bloggers is more difficult to define. So why should there be just one? I'm sure this would make things "easier" but easier doesn't mean better Why should there be unity? Some deisgners are ready to accept bloggers and some aren't. Some designers want as many blogs as possible to cover their shows. Surely that's up to them!

There also seems to be a bit too much focus in the article on Danish pastries: if all the bloggers promise not to eat any baked goods will they leave us alone!? Its a difficult situation. I'm sure there are some bloggers who do turn up to take as much as they can but it hurts to be tarred with the same brush.

Regarding these "bliggers" everyone is tweeting about today: I kind of resent the idea some people have that all bloggers are only attending LFW for the "freebies": i'd like to point out that I haven't had a free glass of champagne or so much as a cup of coffee all week. I've also only received one goodie bag, and I usually save the stuff from them for giveaways for you guys!

I go to watch the shows, I head to Starbucks to write up my reviews, and then I go to the next show. Repeat until tired and ready to go home. I work hard and i'm proud of the coverage I post. I'm also prepared to accept that it doesn't compare to the coverage from Vogue!
.
I agree there does need to be some quality control, and the best way to do this would be for the PRs to take two minutes and look at the blogs they're thinking of inviting. If somebody decides that this blog isn't good enough or doesn't have a large enough readership to warrant my attending the shows then that's fair enough: I would be prepared not to go if the powers that be decide to bring some order to things. But please don't treat us like second class citizens. This sentence in particular made me angry:

Either that, or create a different ticket for bloggers, and create a “bloggers room” which is full of computer terminals and tap water.

I mean really? Separate tickets and tap water? It seems to me if anyone is "blagging" its the chap writing this article who's scared someone is going to take the cup of coffee he's so entitled to!! I mean are we really reigniting this debate again because "real" journalists dont want to miss out on a cup of tea?!

This debate isn't going to go away until the blogger versus 'real' journalists issue is resolved.
LFW is an overcrowded event as it is, and I can see that people would be worried about it only getting more crowded: but there has to be a way of handling this constructively without alienating the bloggers that are there to work, and do the best job they can.

Love, Tor xx
